At St Clement's we celebrate great learning and behaviour. 

We use verbal praise, special stickers and physical rewards such as certificates to celebrate success. 

What we do day to day in class:

-Notice great role models and use them to encourage others.

-Verbal praise such as 'Great listening, I love that you are looking at me. Thank you' or 'You have improved your writing. I love that you have spelt that word correctly.'

-Class Gem Jar rewards

-Use praise phrases such as 'Round of a claws' and 'Marshmallow clap'. 

Weekly Golden Anchor Award

Each week, one child from each class will be awarded the 'Golden Anchor Award' for

demonstrating one of the following values within school.

Living Values

Confidence

Compassion

Creativity

Curiosity

These are awarded in Family Worship on a Thursday in St Clement's Church 2.20pm. If your child has been chosen for the Golden Anchor Award you will receive a text message inviting you to the worship time. Keep it a secret......we want it to be a surprise for the children!

Reading Rewards

We LOVE reading at St Clement's and St John's Infant School.

We celebrate and reward reading at home. We have a reading reward system in our school which enables phildren to earn rewards such as scented bookmarks, cerificates, badges and actual books. To ensure children are always enthused about the reading rewards, we have a different focus for them each year over a three year rolling system. 

Parents and carers, recording reading and these entries add up to different levelled rewards. There are also challenges to complete along the way such as reading in an unusual place, writing a book review, visiting the library and sharing a poem with someone at school.
